At the weekend, we welcomed over 50 Old Bloxhamists and friends of the school for the annual Egerton Society Lunch.

The Egerton Library and Chapel Corridor was filled with the clinking of glasses, laughter and much talk as friends came together at this annual event. Guests then moved into the small dining room to enjoy a delicious three course lunch, prepared by our talented in-house catering team.

During the afternoon, members of the Egerton Society heard from guest speaker Lt Col Gerald Lesinski who gave a thoroughly entertaining talk. Until his retirement, he was latterly the Master of the 900 year old Lord Leycester Hospital in Warwick. Gerald shared a fascinating recount of his Army career as an officer in the Grenadier Guards, the history of the bearskin hat, his time spent in Bosnia and entertaining stories from his time working at Windsor Castle.’

The Egerton Society was established in 2010 and gives philanthropic OBs the opportunity to contribute through legacies to a very important Endowment Fund so that a Bloxham education can continue to be made available to talented boys and girls for generations to come.
