Old Bloxhamist, Simon Mills will speak at the Bloxham Dinner on 1st April 2017.
You may have seen our previous news bulletins featuring Old Bloxhamist, Simon Mills (Cr 1975-80) renowned martime historian, long-standing camera technician in the UK film industry, and, since 1996, “owner” of the wreck of HMHS Britannic, sister-ship to the Titanic. Simon will share the story behind the sinking of the Britannic, and work in recent years to restore it.’
During his time at Bloxham, Simon supplied countless photographs for The Bloxhamist, many of which featured in the archive display at the Crake Centenary in September last year. Simon’s enthusiasm and expertise for the project will undoubtedly make for a fascinating evening, if you have an interest in diving, maritime history or engineering, and of course film and photography, this event will be right up your street!
