Sam Ryan, an Old Bloxhamist, has scooped a top nationwide award for enterprise.

Jumpin, a taxi booking and sharing mobile app tailored for students, which was founded by Sam along with fellow Old Bloxhamist Barney Williams, has triumphed in a nationwide competition for young people in the arts, enterprise and innovation. The Young Brits competition, launched by the clothing label Jack Wills, aims to recognise and champion emerging talent. Sam, who is now 21, was awarded the winning title in the enterprise group. There were eight winners within the different categories, whose achievements were celebrated at an awards ceremony in London last night. Each winner received a prize of 5,000 cash and professional mentoring from the judges.
