Bloxham School is an exceptional place – a great school that exists within a very special community. A Bloxham education goes far beyond exam results – it provides life skills, instils core values, develops character and sets our pupils up for success. For many pupils, a Bloxham education can be life-changing – transformational.
Enabling access to Bloxham School, our community and the education we offer, sits at the heart of our fundraising endeavours. At present around 20% of our pupils receive some form of means-tested support with a small number receiving fully-funded places.
In the current economic climate, demand for bursaries is increasing while our ability to fund then becomes more constrained.
Fundraising and legacy giving are now more important for us than ever before as we strive to ensure that pupils from all backgrounds will always be able to benefit from a Bloxham education.
My parents were forced to consider moving me to a local day school for A Levels for financial reasons towards the end of Fifth Form. The School, realising how potentially disruptive this was likely to be, offered me a Scholarship for Sixth Form thereby enabling me to remain at Bloxham and continue to benefit from all that the School had to offer. The opportunity to complete my studies at Bloxham is something I have always valued. I was spared a major upheaval at a critical point in my education and was able to continue being taught by teachers I knew amongst Bloxham friends who continue to be part of my life to this day.
